Long-Lasting, All Natural Protection
I have heard that baking soda can cause skin irritation.  What's the story?

While most of our customers report a smooth, comfortable transition to this all natural formula, it's possible for some individuals to experience (usually temporary) skin irritation from the baking soda component.  You may find it helpful to shave at night and apply your deodorant in the morning (or otherwise avoid applying your deodorant on freshly shaved skin).  If discomfort lasts for more than a few days, discontinue use of your deodorant and contact us so we can provide additional guidance.  We also offer a Sensitive Formula.  If you haven't already, give it a try!  We love it.

How do I apply Detroit Naturals Deodorant?

Detroit Naturals Deodorant is a deodorant cream, similar to what you may apply to your face and body.  Simply remove a pea-sized amount from the jar with your fingertips and smooth on each (dry) underarm.

The consistency of my deodorant has changed.  Will this alter its effectiveness?

Nope!  Detroit Naturals Deodorant will work the same, whether in its creamier or firmer state.  You may notice that the consistency of your deodorant responds to its surrounding temperature.  If your jar has spent time in extreme heat, thoroughly stir it and place it in the fridge for a bit to firm it back up.

How long will my 2 oz. jar last?

Approximately 2-3 months.  Very little product is necessary to provide all-day protection, so you may find that your jar stretches even longer (one customer reports that her jars last 6 months!).

I am accustomed to a stick/roll on deodorant.  Any plans to sell Detroit Naturals Deodorant with this type of application?

Detroit Naturals Deodorant contains no unnecessary hardening additives.  In our experience, not only are such ingredients unnecessary, but they tend to negatively affect the performance of the product.  So, while we don't want to mess with a good thing, we are always all ears for what our customers want to see from us.

Will Detroit Naturals Deodorant stain my clothing?

If applied correctly, it should not stain clothing.  Make sure you are using approximately a pea-size amount (a little goes a long way!) and wait a few minutes before dressing.  Also, if your jar has spent time in extreme heat, give it a quick stir and, if possible, stick it in the fridge for a few minutes before applying.
